Released for the 130^th anniversary of the brand, the Engineer M Pioneer features the new in-house movement: Chronometer Manufacture Caliber RRM7309-CS. This watchmaking achievement takes BALL’s standards even further with an accuracy range of -2/+5 seconds per day. New technological advancements, highlighted by an ingenious silicon balance spring, withstand extreme magnetic fields and deliver superior shock resistance. Even in the dark, its precision is on full display thanks to the revolutionary micro gas lights that never requires any form of charging and shine automatically for ultra-clear time reading.

Silicon offers high anti-magnetism and corrosion resistance; it also provides enhanced stability to temperature fluctuations. Extremely lightweight and yet harder than steel, silicon is an ideal material selection for the balance spring in order to achieve increased levels of efficiency. It works in combination with a new escape wheel and lever that are made in nickel-based material to ensure enhanced performance. This all-new Manufacture Caliber RRM7309-CS delivers extreme anti-magnetic protection to 2,500 Gauss, enhanced shock resistance and most importantly, a 30% increase in precision as compare to the COSC standard.

In addition, the movement features an 80-hour power reserve while beating to a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4Hz). The movement’s beautiful polishing – in ribbing, perlage and spiral patterns – can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back. Crafted from 904L stainless steel and presented in 40mm, the Engineer M Pioneer displays the necessary comfort, style and toughness of an everyday automatic watch.
